Xgimi has two new projectors for the US: its brightest 4K smart projector, the Horizon Mak, and the Aladdin, a 3-in-1 unit that's also a ceiling light and Bluetooth speaker. Xgimi says its 4K Horizon Mak can produce 3,100 ISO lumens from its "Dual Light 2.0" laser and LED hybrid light source. However, it's worth noting that Xgimi has admitted in the past to overstating brightness results by as much as 27 percent, something it only corrected after facing a lawsuit from Epson.
Its brightness, along with the projector's reported contrast ratio (2000:1), DTS audio support and color accuracy, earned the Horizon Mak an IMAX Enhanced certification. This means it can play IMAX Enhanced content from Disney Plus and other streaming platforms. Horizon Mak, like other modern smart projectors, can automatically find the best spot on the wall to project its image, while adding a new function that remembers settings for specific walls. The so-called Intelligent Screen Adaptation technology (v5.0) can remember your gaming settings when pointed at one wall and switch to movie settings when pointed at your other wall.
